Audition Information:


AGES: 8 - 18 (must be 8 by Dec. 9, 2010)

AUDITION DATES: Dec. 11 at 10am or 2pm and Dec. 12 at 2pm

CALLBACKS: Dec. 14 - Dec. 16

REQUIREMENTS: Prepare a song and a one-minute prose monologue.  Bring sheet music, instrumental tape or CD. Dress to dance.  No experience necessary.  All who audition will be cast.

PARTICIPATION FEE: $265, which includes tuition, script, rehearsal CD and basic costume.  Parent volunteer hours expected.

Available Roles:

Annie Oakley - A happy, endearing country girl who is an amazing markswoman. Illiterate, not very "lady-like".

Frank Butler - A suave sharpshooter in Buffalo Bill's show - he enjoys his status as a heartbreaker and star of the show, and would like to keep it that way.

Tommy Keeler - a dashing young knife-thrower with the Wild West Show, very much in love with Winnie.

Winnie Tate - Dolly's 17-year-old sister. Tommy throws knives at her and hopes to marry her as soon as she turns 18.

Dolly Tate - Frank Butler's "lovely" assistant, an over-the-top, bigoted, ambitious and mean-spirited woman.

Buffalo Bill Cody - middle-aged proprietor of the "Wild West Show" that features sharpshooters Annie Oakley and Frank Butler.

Charlie Davenport - middle-aged manager of the Wild West Show.

Chief Sitting Bull - leader of the Sioux Nation, adopts Annie as his daughter and puts his money into show business with the Wild West Show. Has keen insight into human nature.

Pawnee Bill - owner of the Far East Show; Buffalo Bill's former partner and current rival.

Little Jake - Annie's younger brother, her "bird dog" who flushes out game for her to shoot.

Jessie Oakley - Annie's younger sister, also a part of the family hunting business

Nellie Oakley - Annie's other younger sister, also part of the family hunting business.

Frank Wilson - Proprietor of the Wilson Arms Hotel who discovers Annie's talent for shooting

Bison Boys and their Buffalo Gals - Featured Dancers/singers in the wild West Show

Stage Hands - Charlie Davenport's assistants

Ensemble - Royals, socialites, travelers, etc. who encounter Buffalo Bill and his Wild West Show
